Your contactless USB reader is bus-powered. Therefore, there is no need to connect an external power supply as all needed current will be supplied by the connected USB port.
Passive USB hubs (e.g. keyboards) cannot be used.

Installing the USB reader (Windows)

1

Make sure the USB reader is not connected to the computer.
Make sure you are logged in as an administrator of the computer in which you are installing the drivers.

To find out if you are an administrator:

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Search and start the program lusrmgr.msc
  3. If a User Account Control message appears, click Yes.
  4. In the lusrmgr – [Local Users and Groups (Local)] window, double-click Groups.
  5. Double-click Administrators. You are an administrator if you, or a group you belong to, is listed as a member of the Administrators group.

2

Click the link below to download the driver installer.

3

Unzip the file and Run setup.exe.
The driver installation will start (you may receive a security warning asking to confirm you want to Run).

4

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver to the system.

5

After the installation is completed, please plug the reader to a USB port of the computer.

We recommend to keep the USB reader connected to the computer, or, in case it is necessary to disconnect it, we recommend to switch on the computer after the reader has been connected to the USB port when you are working with it: some Windows versions do not correctly manage the "Plug & Play" detection when the computer is on.
