Account with username and password

It is possible to upgrade from the classic AuthentiCard + PIN login account to a more secure account based on Username + Password, where the password shall match high security standards (at least 8 characters, capital/non-capital/digits/special chars included).

N.B.: Once the secure login account is activated, the AuthentiCard + PIN login will not be accepted any more from “Customer access” login page.

How do I activate a secure account login?

Login with your AuthentiCard + PIN and click on tab “Other”, and then click on button “Login management”.

In the page that shows up, you are required to fill in username, email address, name and surname of the user you are creating.

Click on “Confirm” to create the user, “Cancel” to leave this page without creating the user.

Username and email address must be unique, and if they have been already used a specific warning will ask you to change them.

When you click on Confirm and username and email are unique, a welcome email will be sent automatically, with a confirmation link that shall be used to validate the email address and to create the password. The link will expire in 12 hours; if it is not used before expiry, the email shall be re-sent. Until the email is not validated the secure user login is not activated, and login with AuthentiCard + PIN will continue to work as before.

If you did not confirm the email before expiry, login with your AuthentiCard + PIN, click on tab “Other”, and then click on button “Login management”. You will see the user details and the button “Re-send email” because you have not yet validated the email. Click on this button and a new welcome email will be sent to the specified address with a new link that will expire in 12 hours.

If you entered a wrong email address (and therefore you could not validate the email), login with your AuthentiCard + PIN, click on tab “Other”, and then click on button “Login management”. You will see the user details and the button “Re-send email” because you have not yet validated the email. Click on the username, and you will be able to edit the email address in the Login management page. Click on “Confirm” to close this page and save the new email address, or “Cancel” if you do not want to save changes. After having edited and saved changes with “Confirm”, click on “Re-send email” to re-send the email to the new address.

Change password

To change your password when you are logged in, click on the user icon on the top right corner of the web page, and then click on “Change password”.

In the password reset page, check that the email associated to your user is correct, click on “I’m not a robot” and then click on “Confirm” to start the reset password procedure or “Cancel” to leave the page without starting the reset password.

Upon clicking on  “Confirm”, a reset password email is automatically sent to your address. The email contains a link that allows to change the password and expires in 2 hours; if it is not used before expiry, the procedure shall be done again.

If the email associated to your account is not correct (it is not valid anymore), you shall first change your email (see below).

Change email

To change the email address associated with your user, login with username and password, click on the user icon in the top right corner of the web page and click on “Change email”.

You are presented a module with your current username and email, and field where you can enter the new email address.

Click on “Confirm” to save this email change, “Cancel” to leave this page without changing the email. The new email address must be unique, and if it has been already used a specific warning will ask you to change it.

When you click on Confirm and the new email is unique, a validation email will be sent automatically, with a confirmation link that shall be used to validate the new email address. The link will expire in 12 hours; if it is not used before expiry, the email shall be re-sent. Additionally, a notification will be sent to the previous email address to inform that you have changed.

Until the email is not validated the previous email will still be associated to your account.

Password forgotten

Once the secure login account is activated, it is possible to recover/reset the account password through the registered email.

From “Customer access” login page, click on "Reset password", fill in the email address associated to your username and click on “I am not a robot”.

If the email address is associated to a valid user, an automatic email will be sent, with a link that shall be used to reset the password. The link will expire in 2 hours; if it is not used before expiry, the procedure shall be done again.
