Change batteries (eSIGNO electronic lock)

The eSIGNO electronic lock works with 3 alkaline AAA LR3 batteries.
Through specific visual signals, the lock warns the batteries status.

When the charge level of batteries is low, the door opening, like any other operation, is delayed by few seconds, during wich the lock emits slowly 3 red&green blinks (they could seem orange).

We reccomend you to replace batteries as soon as possible.

If you leave batteries discharge further, the lock emits 12 red&green blinks before opening, and it may not even be able to start up.
When batteries are full discharged, the lock cannot emit any visual signal and doesn't catch the handle.

Instructions for changing batteries

1

Find the tool supplied by CISA.

2

With the proper tool like in picture, remove the lower plastic cover from the external plate.

3

Disconnect the batteries holder by pressing the central pin.

ATTENTION: if the lock remains without power for more than 2 minutes, it loses the time synchronization and cannot normally open with the user cards. In this case the lock emits 6 red blinks and you must synchronize the lock.

4

Replace the batteries (3 alkaline AAA LR3 type batteries), respecting the polarity as shown in the picture.

5

Replace the battery holder being careful to fully embed the central pin.

6

Test the correct operation of the lock.
If the lock doesn't open and emits 6 red blinks, then you must synchronize it.
