How does the e-cylinder work?

The electronic cylinder is an European profile cylinder, perfectly interchangeable with mechanical cylinders.
Both side is mounted a knob, typically a mechanical knob inside (always hooked to the cam which actuates the lock), and an electronic knob outside.
The electronic knob normally isn't hooked to the cam, therefore it rotates freely and the enable to open is managed by the electronics of the device.
In the electronic knob there is a reader that allows to communicate with contactless cards when approached to the device.

Have you already initialized the electronic cylinder and have you already created the card to open it?
Then you can enable the opening of the cylinder and follow the instructions here below.

1

Hold the card near up to the reader for approximately one second, in order to allow a proper communication.

2

If the card is valid, the cylinder enables the opening engaging the cam and it emits 5 green blinks.

If the card is not valid, the cylinder emits 3 red blinks and it doesn't enable the opening.

3

Turn the external knob, in order to open the lock, before the expiry of the opening delay.

4

Go inside the room; to lock the door with the deadbolt, rotate the internal knob.
