AERO Smart Access

Opening locks with a smartphone

The eSIGNO 2.0 and Wall Reader BLE devices are equipped with the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology: it is now possible to open these locks with a smartphone.

CISA has developed the Smart Access digital platform to support creating and sending a mobile key to a smartphone.

You must have an account in CISA Smart Access to activate these services.

Your Smart Access account

The Smart Access account allows you to customize the way you send mobile keys to smartphones and it also helps managing your contracts for this service.

To create your account, you must contact a CISA representative and provide an e-mail address which will become your username for logging into Smart Access.

Once activated, the username can be modified only by CISA. We therefore recommend that the address provided is manned and currently used for important communications and is not a generic or soon to be replaced e-mail address.

An automated message will arrive on the e-mail address provided: it will provide instructions on how to log in, and a temporary password to be replaced at the first access.

Before creating any mobile key, you must complete login and accept the Smart Access Terms of Services.

CISA Smart Access App

CISA Smart Access is a free app which is provided by CISA on the Apple Store and Android Market.
This app allows to open eSigno BLE locks (Wall Reader and eSigno 2.0) with a smartphone.

The app can be downloaded and installed directly from the respective store, but CISA Smart Access platform simplifies installation because it is automated with the invitation link which delivers the mobile key.

As soon as one lock that the mobile key can open is near enough to be detected, the OPEN button is displayed and it can be pressed to open the lock.
When pressed, the button changes color. If the mobile key is valid, the lock will open.

Sending a mobile key: invitation

The Smart Access platform makes it very simple to send a mobile key to a smartphone: everything is done providing a link to the addressee.

The link allows to download the mobile key.
In case the CISA Smart Access App is not yet installed, the link will automatically prompt the user to download and install the app, and then it will download the mobile key.

The welcome message containing the link is called invitation.

The invitation message can be sent automatically (depending on your preferences and contracts):

  • as an email, specifying an email address;
  • as a WhatsApp message, specifying a mobile phone number.

The addressee shall click on the link to get the mobile key and the app.

Creating a mobile key

Creating a mobile key is quite like programming a card: select the BLE doors, enter a contact (email or phone number) to which sending the key, and set any other parameter as you would do for a card.

The last step of the wizard, Summary, confirms successful creation of the mobile key and shows the link that allows to get the key.
